When through bolting #434, #1035, #1036 and #1047 strap hinges to a non-reinforced door (example:hollow metal), you must use hinge back plates. The back plate distributes the force of the fasteners over a larger surface area, thus preventing damage to the door. Available for 18", 19" 24" 30" and 36" strap lengths. To be used with #1035.00268 or #1035.00272 Hinge Construction: Steel, hole centers match strap hinge size. Size: 1/4" x 2-1/2" x 27-1/4" long Fasteners not included.
